Ok thanks. It was 36 here yesterday. We (my son 12 and I) went to the dam with Jetski. I look like a turkey. I cannot smile, my nose is sore my back is burnt and neck is peeling. I am burnt like overkooked meat. No matter, I am still on holiday.......hahahaha.

He yesterday did 360 turns almost under the water. He is getting big and the conclusion I draw is that I am getting old (and fat ). Here he is in 1999 when I was young(er) and and a little more randy

Hey Nigel, enjoy your holidays! Here is a scan of the S1000RR's fact sheet from the test in the actual "Motorrad News" ... just for the case you are bored!

The test article is also the standard (positive) blablabla. Two things are interesting from my point of view. First, the 199hp at the crank are in line with earlier dyno numbers. And second, (after the claimed 211kg in the MCN article) the weight with full fuel tank is 208kg which corresponds to BMW's number (206.5kg with 90% fuel).

Thanks Dragmore. The acceleration times are a little slow huh. Tester must be smoking a pipe . I look forward to the Group tests. My bike arrives on the 27th but I will be in Germany. I get the group tests instead of the bike..............hahaha. I will collect the bike on the way back from the airport.
